Welcome

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (IL) – License #180016598, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (CA) – License #4604

I am an experienced psychotherapist and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, specializing in substance abuse counseling. I provide a safe, affirming, and supportive space for clients to explore their concerns and work toward healing. Alongside my clinical work, I also offer Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP) trainings in collaboration with a certified FAP trainer, and plan to become a certified FAP trainer myself. This framework is close to my heart, and I am passionate about applying its principles not only in my professional practice but also in my personal life. My goal is to help people build psychological flexibility so they can move toward their values and live their fullest, most authentic lives.

Credentials Education Experience

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (IL #180016598) and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (CA #4604), practicing since 2017. I earned my M.S. in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from San Francisco State University in 2015 and began my counseling work in 2012 at the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. My experience includes addiction recovery, vocational rehabilitation, and supporting individuals through life transitions. My clinical approach centers on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients develop psychological flexibility, clarify their values, and live more authentic, fulfilling lives. I specialize in substance abuse counseling and provide a safe, affirming space for members of the LGBTQ+ community.

I also provide Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP) trainings in collaboration with a certified trainer, with plans to earn my own FAP trainer certification. FAP is close to my heart, and I apply its principles in my clinical work and personal life. I’ve completed FAP 1 (Oct 2024) and FAP 2 (Jan 2025), served as a pod leader at the in-person FAP Intensive (May 2025), and attended the pre-conference FAP Intensive (June 2025). By the way, I’m eager to gain more hands-on FAP experience—if you ever need support with research, co-facilitating groups, or anything FAP-related, I’d love to be involved.
